D67SW Model Won't Boot Up and Randomly Shuts Down
« on: March 16, 2012, 09:55:22 AM »
Has anyone had the following issues with the D67SW model?

With the D67SW model, we have had multiple computers that will not boot up when pressing the power button.  The blue light comes on and the CD Drive is working but the hard drive light never come on and nothing display on the screen.  It took several tries in order to get the computer to boot up and the users are very frustrating.  We are running Windows 7 - 32bits.

Another issue that we have with this model is that it randomly shuts down the computer in the middle of working on something.  There is no pattern, it just shuts down when it wants to.  This has happened on a few computers already.  I've checked the event log but there was no helpful information.  It just says that computer was shutdown unexpectedly.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Thao, when did you purchase the computers from us? could you provide a serial number off of one?

Thanks for the info Thao. We have seen issues with low-profile kingston RAM used in certain configurations. Can you open one of these up and verify the ram is low-profile or half height ram? It will be obvious when you look, the ram won't stick up past the clips used to hold it in. If this is the case then we would replace the ram in the computers.

I checked both PC and they both have RAM that are half height.  One of the PC just randomly reboot twice today.
These are not the only two PC we have that have half height RAM.  There are more.
